We found Summit as I was perusing companies to install fresh insulation in our attic, as our house is so cold, we have friends that actually refuse to come to our home during the winter .
I chose Summit only because they were the first company to respond to my appointment request. I am happy I chose them.
The office end of the business could use some tightening up, as they don’t seem overly organized, but the tech was great. For this review, we will call him Jason, as he looks just like our friend Jason.
Jason was on time, polite, patient, presentable, friendly and knowledgeable.
He sat down with us to discuss options, procedures and costs and gave us the estimate right then and there. He didn’t try to up-sell us and actually talked us out of the pricier spray insulation that we had assumed we wanted.
For our needs, we found the prices reasonable and we scheduled the service and 50% deposit thru the office. (The women are very nice, they just need to communicate amongst themselves a bit better, cause there was some moderate confusion emanating from that end).
I thought Jason would be here to oversee install, but instead, it was 3 nice guys that were super efficient, courteous and tidy. The men laid cloth to cover the entire path they would be walking on through our house. They were also so helpful in making sure our cats and dogs didn’t try to escape as they were going in and out the front door. I even learned a few new Spanish words from them. Seriously nice guys.
Anyway, they also removed a random, very heavy box of concrete mix from the attic for me and were able to create a small storage area without insulation on it, which was very thoughtful and helpful. They were meticulous in cleaning up and were in and out within 2 hours or so. They were even courteous enough to remember to lock our windows behind them (they ran the blower hose from the truck thru our upper windows). Normally, my husband and I don’t like new contractors in the house with me when he is out of town, but I was very comfortable with this group.
The insulation is excellent, (clean, allergen and fiberglass free) just as Jason described and I can totally feel the difference in the inside air temperature.
5 stars for product, immediate quote, fair price, Jason and the install crew. Minus 1 star for the slightly unorganized office from the get-go. I also never got a follow up from them after the product was installed. Simply an auotomate emailed “invoice paid” noting they charged us the balance over a week after install.
Best environmental company in business by far no question. Donna and her office staff are amazing. The techs are very professional. Even Scott the owner came out and did a big part of the project because I was little concerned and he went an extra mile to make sure I was satisfied. Plus they will not collect final payment until you are fully satisfied with the job. HIGHLY recommend Summit. Thank you guys

Initial fix was shoddy and unacceptable; when carpenter team came they did an excellent job! Communications could be a bit better but I understand they were short staffed in the office. Could not have a more pleasant group to work with though. I intend to use them for other work in the near future.

Summit is the best. Over the past two years we’ve been faced with two major issues with a family members houses that we had to renovate. I’m pretty sure we’ll be in the Summit “world record” books for eternity for raccoon abatement in both homes. Most recently, they went above and beyond assisting us by tarping a very large roof in a very windy remote location!

Pest Control: when I called Summit in a panic from the small snake that was in our home, Jessica helped me to calm down and reviewed all my options and pricing. We decided we wanted to move forward with a survey of our newly purchased home and go from there. She called for a consultant to come by that same day within a few hours. Although I was still quite frantic, Will, walked me through our entire home top to bottom and inside and out to share where the snake was coming from and how we could resolve the issues, both immediately and long term. Regardless of wanting to spend any money during the holidays, we wanted to protect our family and our investment – Will was extremely cordial and went out of his way to make sure we understood all that was being done to protect our home. Each person I spoke with was great. The project got delayed but the weather and there was an issue with getting it rescheduled, they rescheduled it but didn’t let us know what the date was. I ended up calling a couple of times before finally getting my date. But other than that they were great, they were very apologetic for the delayed response in the reschedule date. Plus they did great with the job overall. The person who gave us the quote (can’t remember his name) was awesome, seemed very knowledgeable and was honest with us. He even tried to get the insurance to cover some of the painting on the inside of the house but they felt it was more cosmetic than a necessity.

These guys were great. Took care of a big yellow jacket nest in our backyard. They gave a quote range over the phone and then an actual quote once they got here and saw it. The price was better than two other big name companies we called. I think the job was bigger than expected once they started digging but they did not change the price. They did it right too by digging to find and remove the nest and not just spraying. Thanks! Y’all are brave!

I would recommend Summit Environmental Solutions. I hired them for blown in insulation. I think they did quality work for a reasonable price. I would have given them higher ratings if they provided better customer service. The estimate visit was rushed, and I personally had to be very proactive in getting all of my questions answered, arranging to have all the work done and getting the work scheduled at a later time. This company should have made more effort and more time for questions and concerns or followup via phone to address them. Their workers were proficient, professional and neat when they came to my house. Rebecca and other representatives on the phone were very helpful.

Jamie was friendly and helpful. Identified the pests we were having problems with; suggested how to take care of some carpenter ants ourselves. We had him treat the perimeter of the house and a storage shed. Found a 20% discount coupon online that made the service even more reasonable.

These men were extremely hard working even in the high temps they had to endure. Their work was outstanding and very quick. They left my house as clean as when they arrived. Can’t say enough good about this company or their employees.
We had way too many groundhogs in our small backyard! We (meaning hubby) thought we could get rid of them ourselves. But then how and when to do it?…Way too many problems arose. I suddenly thought of Home Advisor. During my first visit to the website I found Summit. They are wonderful. They responded quickly. We had a plan started in a couple of days. We worked mostly with Jeremy. He is great! They came out every work day for two weeks to check on progress and either speak with us or leave a door hanger. We always knew what was going on. They were very helpful and answered all of our questions both in person and by phone/text. I would highly recommend Summit. Thanks, Guys!
I have met Scott and his employees and they are a great friendly group of people. They have a family atmosphere.
Very prompt and courteous. Worked with our schedule. Repaired and replaced shingles missing, Office staff was very nice as well.
It will take at least another week or so before we can determine how effective the treatment was.
When we purchased our house we didn’t realize we had a horrible issue with standing water in our backyard. We’ve used Summit in the past for other issues and decided to call them again! They came out designed a french drain system to help solve the water issue. They came out and dug a 16″wide x 24″deep x 140′ long trench and filled it with 13 tons of gravel. They completed that portion in one day and came out the next day to grade our backyard with the dirt they dug for the trench. Since installation we’ve had numerous rains that would have left our backyard puddled for days yet we’ve had no issues!!! We are so happy with the work they did and highly recommend them!!
Tim has excellent. He answered and explained everything in a very instructive way. The quality of the work seems excellent and very profesional. There is room for improvement, especially in the communication area -internally and with the client. Overall, very happy with them and I have recomended them to friends. I’ll hite them again if I need to.
This company was great. They responded quickly to my request for a quote on HomeAdvisor. They came out the very next day and cleaned out a bird’s nest from our attic and made repairs for the damage done by the birds. They were also able to put bird guards on two other vents while they were there. The price was reasonable and the work was done quickly and efficiently. Very easy to work with and reliable. I recommend this firm.

We awoke to the sound of critters in the attic, what we suspected were raccoons. I was terrified they would find a way into the house, so we called Summit the next morning who we used a couple years ago to remove coons from under our sunroom deck. Once again, we had excellent and prompt service, with Donna and Chris fitting us in their schedules the day after the latest snowstorm. Chris was always available by phone and came back each day to check the traps. They found the bent louver screens on the gables where the animals entered and fixed all of them around the house. They inspected the attic for damage, droppings, or coon babies, and found none. Everyone we have worked with there has a commitment to serving the customer, hard to find these days!
