Solutions provided:

Build a wood baffle around the entry point. Install new baffles at the soffit line. Insulate the entry door with foam board insulation and install weather stripping for energy efficiency. Blow over the existing insulation with cellulose insulation to reach levels of 14 inch (R49).
Repair the front drip edge to help prevent further entry of wasps into the attic space.
